AP McCoy Celebration Dinner
One of our directors James Wintle has known AP since he first came over from Ireland and they rode together back in the early nineties, so it was a real honour when he asked our company if we would organise his Celebration Dinner in October 2015 to help raise money for two charities very close to his heart, Tiny Tickers and The Injured Jockeys Fund.
The evening was hosted by fellow Arsenal supporter Jack Whitehall, and hundreds of celebrities, sports stars, and famous race horse owners turned out to support AP on the night.
Special mention must go to Andrew Tinkler at The Stobart Group for his generous sponsorship, and he even donated the ‘Naming of a Truck’ to be auctioned off, which saw the Byrne Group leave as the proud owners of Patsy B.
Our four main auction lots raised over £100,000 for charity, and one lucky winner will spend two days in Madrid with AP and Gareth Bale, whilst another lucky winner will be taught to ride by both AP and Zara Phillips.
The Swann Band made sure the party was in full swing all night, Paul Merson had everyone in stitches with his hilarious gambling stories, and Ronan Keating had everyone up dancing – he even managed to persuade AP to perform a duet of Mr. Brightside with him!
Hundreds of thousands were raised at a truly memorable night had by all that attended.
